So according to the world wide web, almond butter is healthier than peanut butter. Upon discovering this piece of news, my friend, Liza, had asked about where to find almond butter. And I said no, no, no. No point in wasting £2-4 on almond butter at a health shop, when you can spend £1 for a bag of almonds. Just make your own.
Just like my peanut butter, or any other nut butter, you essentially just put everything in a food processor for a good couple of minutes. May be 5, may be 10. Depends on the power of your little thing. You can add some vegetable oil to it to loosen it up at the very end, but it will turn into a paste before that. Don't worry if you whiz and whiz and whiz and it just continually looks like ground almonds ready to be put into a cake. With patience, and also you need to open the thing up and scrape the sides every now and then, there will be almond butter.
